Canva is a 2 year young web design platform and has very cool looking templates, easy to use tools and some good graphics to make a resume that will set you apart.  Remember, we resume readers like interesting resumes, and I like colorful ones too!

WineTalent Classifieds: Member Relations Manager

Member Relations Manager

WineTalent is working with our client, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, to find a Member Relations Manager to support the organization.  The Napa Valley Grapegrowers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Napa Valley’s world-class vineyards.  The Member Relations Manager will be responsible for the overall development and execution of NVG’s membership outreach plan.  The successful candidate will have a strong sales and marketing background with a proven track record of increasing growth.  The Member Relations Manager will exhibit exceptional professionalism, analytical skills, communication abilities and strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

1.  Membership Outreach
  • Develop and manage membership outreach plan to increase membership
  • Host regular meetings and events with potential NVG members to communicate the value of membership. Leverage the contacts of NVG Directors and other active member and supporters 
  • Responsible for meeting membership growth and budget goals as established annually


2.  Member Relations
  • Act as staff liaison to NVG membership
  • Personally meet with and regularly communicate membership benefits with existing members
  • Manage membership database of over 700 members
  • Manage membership dues renewal process and work with the Director of Finance to ensure that accounting and reporting is accurate and timely
  • Assess value for each membership category and make recommendations to enhance membership benefits
  • Actively solicit feedback from NVG members about ways to add value
  • Assist with the management of the members-only section of the NVG website
  • Provide direction and content for membership events including, but not limited to, the Annual Membership Meeting and the Annual Dinner


3.  Provide general support to the Board of Directors and the Executive Director
  • Prepare monthly Board of Directors membership report
  • Prepare biannual Board of Directors membership presentation

4.  Working with the Marketing & Communications Committee, fulfill the
      membership objectives of the 2016 Communications Plan

5.  Manage the Volunteer & Hospitality Committee for the NVG’s signature     
       fundraiser, Harvest STOMP
6.   Assist the Executive Director in running the annual Napa Valley Grower of the
       Year award program 


7.    Miscellaneous administrative duties

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years in related position
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience or interest in Napa Valley winegrape growing
  • Highly motivated work ethic and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality
  • Advanced abilities to create, maintain, and report budgets
  • Demonstrated success managing accounts and performing analyses
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access or other database management
  • Experience with the sales and management of a luxury brand a plus
  • Ability to assist with event set up, breakdown, and coordination
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Clean driving record with the California DMV

WineTalent is working with our client Long Meadow Ranch to fill two Guest Services Associate positions at Farmstead Restaurant and Long Meadow Ranch.   Long Meadow Ranch is a family­-owned and operated producer and purveyor of world­-class wine and food that is economically successful and socially responsible using diversified, sustainable, and organic farming methods. They produce award­-winning wines, handcrafted extra virgin olive oils, grass­-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables.

Long Meadow Ranch has a unique opportunity for a Guest Services Associate to facilitate the guest experience at Long Meadow Ranch, Farmstead and LMR’s special events.  The Guest Services Associate will be an integral member of the team, providing the highest level of professionalism, customer service and brand ambassadorship for LMR’s businesses.  The Guest Services Associate will be part of a highly engaged, customer-focused service organization.
 

Responsibilities:
  • Handling all incoming inquiries and communications with guests and booking reservations at Farmstead restaurant and Long Meadow Ranch.
  • Responds to guest issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide customer service and timely follow-up to guests on all issues and questions in phone, email and social media messaging.
  • Support the restaurant front desk as needed through greeting guests, checking in reservations and quoting wait times for walk-in customers.
  • Relay messages from guests or reservation notes to managers and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • 1+ year of hospitality industry experience, ideally including work experience in hotels, restaurant, resort, customer service and special events.
  • Experience with PBX phone systems, OpenTable and Vin65 a plus.
  • Sharp attention to detail with good oral and written communication skills.  Able to work in a team environment as well as operate independently.
  • Highly professional in all interpersonal and business dealings
  • Creative problem solver with drive and dedication to succeed.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
  • This position will be based predominantly at the Farmstead facility in St. Helena.  The Guest Services Associate will be available during peak business hours including Friday, Saturday and Sundays.  

Compensation and Benefits
  • This is a full-time, hourly position.

Safety Manager:  WineTalent is working with our client Bogle Vineyards based in Clarksburg, CA to find a Safety Manager to continue to foster a safety culture at the winery, the production facility and at the warehouse facility.  Bogle Vineyards is a sixth-generation family owned and operated winery in the heart of the Clarksburg AVA.  The Safety Manager will work closely with all of the employees to maintain their focus on safety and to continue to meet and exceed safety needs of the company.  The Safety Manager will be interacting closely with many departments and will be providing routine training and safety oversight.   

The Safety Manager’s Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the implementation of safety and health programs by presenting training and completing audits
  • Participates in the implementation of environmental policies and procedures by conducting training and completing inspections
  • Develops, implements, and coordinates safety and health policies and procedures to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and the financial losses associated
  • Reviews and evaluates various job activities and new processes for safety, health, and environmental issues and makes recommendations to control or eliminate hazards
  • Assesses facility compliance with Bogle Vineyards Safety Manual requirements
  • Responds to and investigates reports of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; reviews recommendations and/or takes appropriate action in order to mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risk
  • Facilitates safety committees meetings, conducts root cause analysis, incident investigations and works with the local management team regarding Health & Safety
  • Facilitates site wide “all hands safety meetings” 
  • Assists in the development and updating of matrices to track and trend safety and environmental program performance
  • Supports contractor safety, health, and environmental compliance
  • Serves as a company resource for safety, health, and environmental; interacts with regulatory agencies, customers, and others as necessary
  • Develops and delivers presentations on environmental, health, and safety topic including supporting monthly department safety meetings
  • Conducts accident investigations and safety inspections in support of the company safety program
  • Assists in management of company’s worker injury management program including arranging for medical treatment, documenting records, following up on cases, and paying bills
  • Assists Human Resources with worker’s compensation claims and the Modified Duty program.
  • Assists in the management of the company OSHA 300 log including completion of the annual summary for posting.
  • Conducts required OSHA employee training as required
  • Contributes to the development or revision of OSHA and CAL/OSHA compliance
  • Responsible for maintaining the companies safety and training records
  • Responsible for ensuring all departments complete monthly safety meetings, trainings and inspections.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining company’s IIPP 
  • Conducts required OSHA employee training as required


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: Three to five years in a safety role.
  • Language skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills are highly desirable.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Management or related.  Work experience in health and safety with certifications in EH&S and OSHA will also be considered.  
  • Extensive experience with worker’s compensation, OSHA and training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Proven ability to influence others in a positive manner.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and shifting prioritization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate catwalks
  • Ability to walk up to 2 to 3 miles a day
  • Ability to stand on your feet for up to 6 hrs a day.
