About the Opportunity:  Long Meadow Ranch has a unique opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team to provide quality service to our winery management team, farm production team, and other business partners. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will provide general accounting support, maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger for multiple affiliated entities. This position requires ethical conduct and thoroughness, along with critical thinking, attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
• Prepare journal entries and perform analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and merchant accounts
• Support accounts payable where necessary, including invoice processing, coding and approvals
• Provide additional support for corporate credit card processing and facilitating employee expense reimbursement as needed
• Support Senior Staff Accountant with daily financial reporting
• Support other critical accounting areas as needed, such as fixed assets and accounts receivable
• Partner with sales team and order processing team to effectively manage accounts receivable
• Forecast of future cash receipts from accounts receivable
• Collaborate with Controller to ensure that the financial information is prepared in strict adherence with US GAAP, company policies and procedures and sound financial management practices

Education, Experience and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting practices
• Wine or consumer beverage product accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills
• Sharp attention to detail with good oral and written communication skills
• Able to work in a team environment as well as operate independently
• Able to lift 40+ lbs

Long Meadow Ranch has a unique opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our administration to provide quality customer service to our ranch and winery management team, our business partners, our customers and our vendors. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Financial Controller will be responsible for review and forecasting of cash flow, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures, recommendations for continuous improvement, and general accounting functions for multiple affiliated entities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsibilities
Implement, maintain, and follow a comprehensive set of policies and procedures, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations in support of monthly and year-end close
Manage daily accounting tasks including: accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and daily banking tasks
Supervise periodic inventory counts and maintain perpetual inventory system for non-financial inventory reporting
Assist with the budgeting and cash forecasting processes
Approve and monitor billing activity as processed by the Accounts Payable Specialist, ensuring accuracy of accounts payable coding by departmental managers
Ensure accuracy and completeness of company sales in financial accounting software, reconciling monthly
Record intercompany accounting transactions as deemed necessary
Monitor, track and report on all required external compliance
Participate as a team member on key business initiatives, including cost accounting, workflow management, and customer correspondence protocol
Evaluate, recommend and implement policies, procedures and systems related to company efficiency, productivity and internal controls
Solicit and act on feedback from manager, peers, and other business partners
Contribute ideas, energy, enthusiasm and support to the continuous improvement of the process
Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance
Wine, consumer beverage product or manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
Farming and livestock specific accounting experience, a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
In-depth knowledge of accounting software, NetSuite and QuickBooks experience a plus
Experience with ecommerce and POS systems, Truvi or WineDirect preferred
Proficient in MS Office including PowerPoint with advanced MS Excel skills

Able to work in a team environment as well as operate independently

Description: The Controller for B Cellars will be responsible for oversight of the accounting function of the company while also maintaining the financial integrity of the business. This role will manage the workflow of the accounting department and ensure timely completion of tasks and reporting. Utilizing B Cellars’ Microsoft Navision platform, the Controller will implement the efficient use of the system for accounting, inventory, POS and costing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform the accounting and financial functions of the business, conduct the monthly close process, prepare, analyze and communicate timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements consistent with both internal reporting formats and GAAP.
  
• Manage the bookkeeping function, which provides basic accounting (AP, AR, invoice entry and creation, payroll, sales reporting, etc).
  
• Understand and upkeep the financial budget model in order to produce regular forecast updates for P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, including cash flow forecasting and department level budgeting.

The Vice President of Finance will provide high quality financial planning and analysis, including providing detailed financial modeling for established and potential projects. 

The Vice President of Finance serves in a core leadership role and is responsible for driving both the strategic and hands-on execution of financial planning & accounting, financial & managerial reporting, investor relations, partnerships & contracts. Responsibilities:

Financial Planning  & Accounting

●      Direct all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, finance, and cash management functions of the Company

●      Establish and implement next generation financial accounting systems, controls, and measurement systems to assure fiscal integrity as well as accurate and timely financial and management reporting

●      Formalize and document accounting and finance standard operating processes (SOPs) to ensure accurate and timely data synthesis

●      Manage the annual budget and strategic business planning processes, working closely with the CEO & President, COO & Executive Vice President, and key operating managers

●      Manage relationship with accounting firm; oversee and direct all tax-related activities

●      Assure compliance with state, federal, and general accounting and regulatory guidelines

Cash flow

•   Manage line of credit and tactical relationship with banks

Project management accounting

•   Maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates timely management reporting

•   Ensure that accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with agreements with lenders and investors

•   Provide accurate and timely reporting on the status of individual projects

 Financial Administration
